New York (USA)
In this residential loft in New York City’s SoHo district, USM modular storage systems serve two very different purposes: In pure white, the USM Haller modern nightstand contributes a sense of calm in the airy, uncluttered bedroom. In steel blue, a modern credenza helps maximize storage space and display media, providing a pop of color in a living room decked out for entertaining. When it was first built in 1857, this landmark building in SoHo was a premier department store called Arnold, Constable & Co. Renamed simply the Constable Building, it is now full of converted residential lofts like this one, home to Glenn Elliott and his partner, Kristian Sibast. The building’s history was a selling point for the couple, who have a deep appreciation for solid construction, enduring quality and endless versatility. An engineer by training, Elliott says those qualities also informed their decision to outfit their apartment with USM Haller: “I love the way it can be built and deconstructed again and again to fill various purposes over its life. It is that sense of permanency that appeals to me.” Learn more about how USM furniture can be used in the home.
